Lazaro's Fan Mail Address & Tips To Get Noticed!

Hey Everyone! If you guys follow Lazaro on twitter, then I'm sure you've seen his tweet about his new fan mail address! If you haven't, you can see it by clicking here. Idol's in the past have let us know some tips about sending fan mail to them and I also have a few tips to let you all in on as well! :)

The American Idol Team Goes Through Their Mail:

Past Idol's have let us know that before they get their mail, the American Idol Team goes through it to make sure there isn't anything bad in it. They remove things such as candy and food as it could be harmful to the contestants. So, if you plan on sending candy to the any of the Idols (Lazaro included) they will not receive it.

Send Him A Bracelet Or T-Shirt:

Another tip to keep in mind is that people LOVE to receive bracelets and most of the time will wear them. Sometimes they even switch them out day-to-day depending on how many they receive from the fans! If you make Lazaro a bracelet, then he most than likely will wear it. :) The Idols also love getting t-shirts. While we're not sure of Lazaro's shirt size at the moment, we can guess he wears an adult medium (we aren't sure of this and are trying to find out this information right now. We will send a tweet out when we get the official word). You can get him a t-shirt from your state, or maybe with something funny on it, or you could even make him a t-shirt! It's up to you! But, keep in mind that if you make the t-shirt, he may not wear it because it would be special and he wouldn't want to get anything on it.

Homemade Things Are The Way To Go:

Another thing that the Idols love is anything homemade (such as bracelets). One of the Idols last year was given a care package with soaps and candles that one of their fans had made. Previous Idols have even taken pictures of the coolest things they were sent and posted them on twitter! If you want to get a reply from Lazaro, sending him something awesome is definitely the way to go! Things such as drawings, cool cards, something that would make him feel loved, a baseball cap, maybe even a Rubik's cube with his face on it: be unique!

Also, if you include your twitter name in the letter you send him, he may give you a shoutout or even follow you, but DO NOT ASK TO BE FOLLOWED IN YOUR LETTER. Lazaro won't be able to follow everyone that sends him a letter and it can get a bit annoying if you ask him to follow you, so if you nicely include your twitter name and say something like "My twitter name is @_________." he may tweet you or even follow you. While this isn't guaranteed being nice and cool in your letter to him will get you more of a chance to be noticed :)

How To Get A Reply Letter/Autograph Back:

Now, if any of you are interested in getting a letter back from any of the Idols, you MUST include a self-addressed stamped envelope. If you don't know what that is, it is basically an envelope that you include with your letter so that Lazaro can simply write you a reply and then send it back to you without having to pay money for a stamp. This is what it has to look like in order for you to get a reply from him:



You must write YOUR address in the top left corner AND in the center of the envelope AND you MUST put a stamp on the envelope if you are interested in getting a reply from Lazaro or any of the other Idols. If you do this and include in your letter that you would like a reply and an autograph (you have to ask for an autograph and a reply letter if you want it) back, then there is a pretty good chance you will get it. But be patient because Lazaro (and the other Idols) will be getting loads of fan mail, so it may take a while for them to go through it all. Also, the fan mail they reply to only gets send out every so often, so don't tweet Lazaro constantly asking if he received your gift because these things take time, and also he won't be able to remember every name of every person that sends him mail.

Good luck writing your letters and picking out your gifts! I hope this post helped out in some way and you'll have a better understanding of how the system works! None of this is guaranteed to get you a reply/noticed, but hopefully you'll have a good chance! :)

Lazaro Arbos Update (March 1st, 2013)

Hey, Lazis! Time for another Lazaro update! So much has happened since our last post, and we're here to update you on it all!

First off, last night on Idol Lazaro sang Keith Urban's song, "Tonight I Wanna Cry." At the end when asked by Ryan Seacrest how he thought he did, Lazaro tried to say what he thought, but end the end finally just said, "Um.. sure, yes." How cute!! Everyone in the crowd erupted with laughter from Lazaro's comment. To watch his performance (in which the angle of the camera suggests Lazaro is a giant and Ryan is a shrimp) you can click the video below:

After all of the contestants had preformed, Lazaro survived the Sudden Death Round and was third to be seated in the stools. The show wasn't filmed live like most people assumed, but actually it was filmed Wednesday night when all of the girls sang. Lazaro gave us a hint that he made it through the competition with this tweet:

Only the Top 20 get new pages made for them, so Lazaro secretly let us all know that he had made it through!! Sneaky little thing ;)

IMPORTANT --- For any of you who have ever been tweeted/RTed/followed by Lazaro on his @lazaromusic account, be SURE you screenshot all of those tweets because in the past Idol has made contestants with previous twitter accounts delete them which means all of Lazaro's old tweets will more than likely be gone! Lazaro On American Idol

Hey everyone! Tonight is the last night of Idol until the official Top 40 are announced! If you're even half as excited as we are then you'd be jumping around like crazy!! We're so excited to see if Lazaro makes it to the Top 40 (and to see him dance at the end of the episode if he does makes it!) We can't wait!

We decided to make a post compiling all of Lazaro's Idol performances so you can get up to date on him just in case you've missed an episode of Idol. There are only four now, but we'll make more update posts as the competition advances. Here we go!!

First off is his audition in which he sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water"

Next, is his first Hollywood week song, "Angels"

Then, Lazaro's group in Group Week when they sang, "Wouldn't It Be Nice"

And finally, after Group Round when Lazaro sang, "Edge of Glory" by Lady Gaga

Lazaro Interviews!

Hey everyone! First off, I want to give a big thank you to all of you who have read this blog and followed us on twitter! It means so much to us :) Lazaro also followed us on twitter today and we want to say a HUGE thank you to him as well! We can't wait to see you excel in the competition, Lazaro! We wish you the best of luck!

This post is going to be a list of interviews that Lazaro has done from the time of his audition until now so you can all get to know more about Lazaro. :)

The first interview was an American Idol interview that all Idol contestants who made it to Hollywood did. It's called "Road To Hollywood." Lazaro talks about how he got to sing with Jennifer Hudson and about his love for music. You can click here to watch that :)

The second interview was with NBC Latino where Lazaro talked about his stuttering and his American Idol experience. He looked very handsome, if I do say so myself, wearing a denim colored button-up shirt and purple tie. Click here to view the interview.

Lazaro Arbos Performances!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share two of Lazaro's performances that I found on YouTube with you all! Enjoy!

The first performance most of you have probably seen, but it was on the Latino show called Aqui Todos Ganan where he sang "Imagine." There is no specific date on the video, but we can guess it was a few years back taking that he looks much younger. Lazaro kills it in this performance which is no different than in any of his other performances. Truly moving!

The second performance was much more recent (around two weeks ago) at a church in Naples, Florida. Lazaro sings a duet of the song "Holy, Holy, Holy (Is The Lord God Almighty)" with singer Jenna Young. In this very beautiful and touching performance, Lazaro is wearing his signature blue button-up shirt that he was seen wearing in his Idol audition. I'm so happy to see Lazaro being very open about his religion as a Christian! He is so inspiring!

Lazaro Arbos | American Idol Season 12

Lazaro Arbos, 21, a native of Cuba who now resides in Florida, blew the nation away last week with his rendition of Simon & Garfunkel’s song “Bridges over Troubled Water”. Arbos may seem like just another face in the crowd, but there is something quite unique about this handsome heart throb – he has a speech impediment that he’s been dealing with for years.

At the age of ten, Lazaro and his family moved to the United States where his stuttering took a turn for the worse. His mother says, “When we got to the US, his stutter got much worse to the point where he couldn’t speak and I had to say everything for him.” Stuttering from the age of six, Lazaro and his family struggled with his speech problem almost all his life. At one point, it was so bad that he couldn’t speak at all. His family says they don’t know where the problem originated. He went through therapy to try to improve his speech, but no improvement showed after much treatment.

Lazaro’s stutter not only affected him at home, but also at school.

“No one wanted to hang out with me in school. Because I had no friends to go out with, I came home,” Lazaro told Idol.   

Although Lazaro has struggled to fit in, he doesn’t let that get him down. He says, “I’ve always taught myself even though it’s not going good now, but you can’t let things get you down ‘cause you have to keep going.”

Despite his impediment, Lazaro found a way to communicate with the people around him – through music. Lazaro’s only form of communication came from his ability to sing.

“Normally when he wouldn’t be able to tell me something because of the stutter, I would just say “Sing it to me. Sing it to me”, his mother says when interviewed on Idol.

Lazaro added, “Ever since I was small, I’ve always wanted to sing.”

Lazaro never gave up on his passion, and that showed tonight as he made it through the next round of the competition receiving a golden ticket to Hollywood. Lazaro’s talent blew the judges away landing him with yeses from all four of the judges. Lazaro’s dream won’t stop here though. America has already fallen in love with him, and his voice! 

We love Lazaro and hope to see him excel in this competition!
